Introduction

The Australian Little Penguin is the smallest of all penguins. It is also the only penguin with slate-blue feathers. The underside of it is white, the eyes are silver, and the bill is black.  The penguin weighs around 1 kg and is about 30 cm tall. They are very noisy communicators because they produce a variety of distinctive snorts, screeches, brays and growls depending on their mood or activity.
